Last season, Sheerness East finished 5th last season but were promoted however due to the new league, the Kent Invicta Football League. Sheerness East went into the season with a 2-1 defeat by Otford United before going on to win their next 2 league matches matches, 1 home, 1 away. Their first win came against New Romney.
The first goal came from player/ manager Paul Colenut who scored 4 goals that season in all competitions.
Over the course of the Season, Sheerness East have played local rivals Sheppey United F.C.
The first match came in the Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield when Sheerness East (H) and Sheppey United (A) drew 1-1 at Full Time and was all decided by extra time. Following two sending offs for Sheppey United, Sheerness East went on to win 8-1 AET thanks to a Tony Hewitt hat-trick. Sheerness East went on to lose 3-1 in the next round to Rusthall.
Sheerness East's next match came in the league, when they lost away 2-0. Unlike their last game, it was a fairly clean game and no one received a card.
The final game was a 2-1 win at home. The two goals came from James Glover and Ricky Whiting. Oddly, Sheppey United never used any of their subs despite losing.
Ricky Whiting left Sheerness East and moved to Sheppey United.
